Chanel
Chanel entered the world of watchmaking in 1987 with the launch of the Première, a ladies’ watch. Its octagonal case was inspired by the shape of Place Vendôme and the stopper of the Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle. By combining Parisian design aesthetics with Swiss precision, the Maison laid the foundation for its own distinctive watchmaking identity. In 2000, Chanel raised the bar with the launch of the J12, crafted from scratch-resistant high-tech ceramic and swiftly establishing itself as an icon of modern, sporty luxury. Complementing the sleek, minimalist lines of the Boy-Friend collection, the technically sophisticated Monsieur de Chanel models – powered by in-house movements developed at the Kenissi manufacture – stand among the Maison’s flagship timepieces. Crafted at the ateliers in La Chaux-de-Fonds, these watches exemplify Chanel’s ambition to seamlessly blend Parisian fashion sensibilities with contemporary haute horlogerie.
