As the sponsor of this year’s German Polo Tour – held from May to September in different places – Jaeger-LeCoultre will gift a Reverso Classic Large Small Seconds to the winner of the tour.
Since 1931 the watch manufacture is closely connected to polo sports. The polo players of the British army in India needed a watch, that could resist the conditions during the games. Therefore Jaeger-LeCoultre created the Reverso with a case, that could be easily turned around, so that the sensitive dial could be hidden and instead the robust case back could be revealed.
Also today the Reverso is marked by its turnable case. This way either a second dial or the case back – personalized by engraving, diamants or enameling – is revealed. The case back of the Reverso classic Large Small Seconds is engraved with the German Polo Tour’s logo.
The case of the Reverso is typically square-shaped. The design of the model is distinguished by pure lines and characteristic godrons in the style of Art Déco.
The model’s strap is the result of the brand’s cooperation with the Argentinian leather manufacture Casa Fagliano, which has worked with Jaeger-LeCoultre for the first time in 2011. These watch straps are handmade and consist of high quality cordovan or calf leather, which emphasizes the sporty look of the new timepiece.
