Biver
After a career spanning more than 50 years in the watch industry, during which he helped steer brands such as Omega and Hublot to success, visionary Jean-Claude Biver ultimately founded his own brand. In 2023, together with his son Pierre, he launched “Biver”. Although the brand is one of the youngest on the market, it already boasts an extensive portfolio that includes complicated timepieces and gemstone dials. For the design, Philippe Girard was brought on board – someone with whom Jean-Claude Biver had already worked closely, and who had been involved, among other things, in designing the iconic Hublot Big Bang. In the manufacture in Givrins on the shores of Lake Geneva, complicated timepieces are created based on a neo-classical design philosophy. Biver’s first creation, the Carillon Tourbillon, combined a micro-rotor with two major complications: a tourbillon and a minute repeater with three gongs. In 2024, the second collection followed with the launch of the Automatique, a three-hand model equipped with the first modular movement (JCB-003) featuring a micro-rotor and zero-reset mechanism. The portfolio is complemented by the Signature line, which serves as a creative playground for extraordinary concepts; the strictly limited Atelier collection, in which the rarest artisanal crafts are showcased; and the Landmark models, which unite the brand’s most significant technical and aesthetic achievements.
