Jaquet Droz
Jaquet Droz has its origins in 1738, when Pierre Jaquet-Droz established his workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He became renowned for both his watches and his spectacular automata, which captivated kings and princes across Europe in the 18^(th) century. Now part of the Swatch Group, the brand continues this heritage by combining craftsmanship, aesthetics, and mechanical ingenuity. The iconic Grande Seconde features an oversized seconds display arranged in a horizontal figure-of-eight layout. Models such as the Petite Heure Minute showcase artistic enamel and miniature painting, while the Automata collection continues the historic tradition of the brand with its animated scenes. Jaquet Droz is widely regarded as a master of poetic complications and richly decorated dials.
