Mido All Dial 20th Anniversary Inspired By Architecture: Celebrating The Roman Colosseum
The All Dial collection from Mido is celebrating its 20th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the house is launching a limited special edition that celebrates its connection to architecture. The Mido All Dial 20th Anniversary Inspired By Architecture puts a building in the spotlight for the first time. The new limited special edition is inspired by the Colosseum in Rome, which is evident on the case and bracelet as well as on the dial. Other special editions from the brand’s most important collections are to follow in the course of the year. These include the Baroncelli, Ocean Star, Multifort and Commander. The first to make an appearance, however, is this All Dial, which is a limited edition of 2022 pieces.
The Case is in The Shape of The Colosseum
The case of the Mido All Dial 20th Anniversary Inspired By Architecture is round in design, alluding to the Colosseum in Rome. It is of stainless steel and measures 42 mm in diameter. The case height is 10.1 mm. In order to maintain the round and slightly tapered shape, there are no lugs. Instead, the bracelet is embedded into the case.
Otherwise, the case appears polished. On the side is the screw-in crown, which, together with the solid case back, enables water resistance of up to 10 bar or 100 metres. On the back, the wearer will also find an engraved image of the monument and the limitation number.
The Dial of The Mido All Dial is Reminiscent of The Amphitheatre’s Steps
The allusion to the amphitheatre continues on the dial. The front is anthracite with several levels. The ring with the steps is reminiscent of the structure of the building from a bird’s eye view. The grained surface in the centre picks up on the ancient stones that make up the building.
Even the shape of the indices on this Mido All Dial are no coincidence. They are inspired by the arcades of the Colosseum and filled with luminous material. Square, polished hands, which also bear Super-LumiNova, indicate the time. At 3 o’clock there is a window that shows the current day and the corresponding date.
The Movement Inside The Mido All Dial 20th Anniversary Inspired By Architecture
Inside the Mido All Dial 20th Anniversary Inspired By Architecture is the ETA calibre 2836-2, which offers automatic winding and a power autonomy of 38 hours. It operates at a frequency of 4 hertz and is regulated in 5 positions. The accuracy is also reflected in the chronometer certificate from the COSC, which guarantees a maximum deviation of -4/+6 seconds per day. The movement also features Geneva Stripes and the winding rotor bears the brand logo.
