Zenith Chronomaster Sport: Precious Metal For The Collection And Gems on Top
The Zenith Chronomaster Sport Ref. 22.3100.3600/69.M3100 is the first addition to the young collection with a precious metal case set with gemstones. The diamonds, spinels and sapphires on the bezel echo the iconic three-colour chronograph counters. A meteorite dial is also on show, displaying its characteristic pattern in a golden colour. Inside is Zenith’s latest-generation chronograph movement, which makes it possible to measure time to the nearest tenth of a second.
Rose Gold Case
The case measures 41 mm and is of 18-carat rose gold. Notable features are the polished sides, a brushed front and unprotected pump pushers. The crown meanwhile bears the Zenith logo. The bezel is set with white baguette-cut diamonds, black spinels and grey and blue sapphires. The stones continue the colour theme of the three-colour chronograph counters, which harks back to the historic reference A386. Last but not least, the watch offers a transparent case back that allows a view of the movement. The water resistance is 100 metres.
The Meteorite Dial
The dial of this Zenith Chronomaster Sport consists of a meteorite slab that has been cut into shape. The watchmakers work the dial by hand and then apply a golden colour. This emphasises the Windmanstätten pattern that meteorites naturally develop. Also included are hour indices made of baguette-cut diamonds. The main hands are luminous. Last but not least, the date window is located at 4:30 and also matches the tone of the dial.
High-frequency chronograph
However, the high-quality exterior does not come at the expense of the mechanics. Inside is the latest version of the El Primero 3600, launched in 2021. The movement integrates a column-wheel chronograph which, thanks to its high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, makes it possible to measure time intervals to the nearest tenth of a second. It also features an automatic winding mechanism, with the rotor in the shape of the five-pointed Zenith star. The maximum power reserve here is 60 hours.
Bracelet, Price & Availability of The Zenith Chronomaster Sport
The watch comes on a three-link bracelet made from 18-carat rose gold. It continues the finish of the case and features a polished centre bar flanked by brushed links. The Zenith Chronomaster Sport with gem-setting is available exclusively in Zenith boutiques and in the in-house web shop. The price is 106,100 euros.
