Czapek
Czapek & Cie was founded in Geneva in 1845 by François Czapek, a Polish watchmaker who was formerly a partner of Antoine Norbert de Patek. As early as the 19th century, the brand was renowned for its exquisite pocket watches, with the French imperial court among its clientele. After a long period of inactivity, the brand was successfully revived in 2015 through a crowdfunding initiative. The flagship Quai des Bergues chronograph pays homage to the brand's historic designs from its founding era, combining classical craftsmanship with modern mechanics. In contrast, the Antarctique, with its integrated steel bracelet, bold architecture, and skeletonised automatic calibres, embodies the brand’s contemporary sporty-technical spirit. Today, Czapek seamlessly combines historical heritage with innovative manufacturing and the pioneering spirit of modern independent watchmaking.
