Norqain
From start-up to dynamic watch brand with a strong presence: since its foundation by Ben Küffer in Nidau near Biel in 2018, Norqain has become one of the most promising independent manufacturers in the industry. As a family-owned company with strong ties to Swiss watchmaking tradition, Norqain specialises in mechanical watches that combine sporty design with robust functionality. A key milestone was reached in 2020 with the partnership formed with Kenissi, the movement manufacturer of Tudor and Chanel. Since then, Norqain collections have featured chronometer-certified in-house calibres offering an enhanced power reserve and reliability. The brand’s portfolio is divided into three lines. The Adventure collection is designed for outdoor activities, the Freedom line is inspired by vintage designs, and the Independence series features modern, innovative materials such as skeletonised dials and limited editions. With the Wild One, Norqain is making a statement about sustainability: the multi-part case is made from the brand's own high-performance material, Norteq, in an environmentally responsible way. The entire collection is also animal-free, using vegan alternatives to leather. The brand's profile is further strengthened by partnerships such as that with the NHL Players' Association, as well as close collaboration with Jean-Claude Biver on product development. Norqain’s approach of involving athletes such as ice hockey professional and brand co-founder Mark Streit and footballer Gianluigi Buffon as business partners is unique, too, enhancing both authenticity and visibility.
