Porsche Design

Porsche Design was founded in 1972 by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, who was the designer of the legendary Porsche 911. His aim was to bring Porsche’s design DNA to everyday objects, particularly watches, which are defined by functionality, purity, and technical inspiration. The first watch, the Chronograph I (1972), set new standards as the world’s first black-coated stainless-steel wristwatch. Today, Porsche Design watches are produced at the brand’s own manufacturing facility in Solothurn, Switzerland. Collections such as the Chronograph 1 revisit historical designs, while the 1919 collection features a more minimalist, modern aesthetic. The Chronotimer series merges motorsport spirit with horology, and the Custom-Built Timepieces collection allows customers to create highly personalised watches. Each watch is defined by titanium construction, clear architecture and technical functionality as an extension of Porsche’s design philosophy.
