Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver in Khaki, Blue and Grey
Audemars Piguet is launching three new diving watches in stainless steel. The three Royal Oak Offshore Diver watches in khaki, blue or grey have a diameter of 42 mm and withstand water pressure up to 300 m. The watches are powered by the 4308 calibre with a 60-hour power reserve. Furthermore, AP are equipping the models with its new interchangeable bracelet system.
Royal Oak Offshore Diver in Khaki
The 42 mm stainless-steel case of the Offshore Diver in khaki alternates between satin-finished and polished surfaces. The two screw-down crowns at 3 and 10 o’clock are made of black ceramic. Of course, the Royal Oak bezel with exposed screws is also an integral part of the design. In addition, a khaki green sealing ring peeks out from under the bezel.
On the dial with a “Méga Tapisserie” motif in khaki green, indexes and hands in 18-carat rose gold indicate the time. They are also coated with luminescent material for optimal readability. The diving scale on the inner black rotating bezel has a 15-minute zone in beige and Arabic numerals in the same shade. The rubber strap in khaki green picks up the colour of the dial. A black rubber strap is also included.
Royal Oak Offshore Diver in Blue
The Royal Oak Offshore Diver in navy blue alludes to the field of application of a diver’s watch. The case, with its satin-finished and polished surfaces and bevelled edges, emphasises the model’s sporty look. The two crowns are made of black ceramic. The sealing ring on this model is blue.
The blue “Méga Tapisserie” dial here bears indexes and hands in 18-carat white gold. which also provide 24/7 legibility. The black rotating bezel with diving scale has white numerals and a white 15-minute zone. The dial is decorated with a galvanised AP logo in gold, which takes the place of the full signature. This model comes with a blue rubber strap and black interchangeable strap.
Royal Oak Offshore Diver in Grey
Meanwhile, the grey variant underlines the elegant side of the watch. Accordingly, the two crowns are made of grey ceramic and thus complement the colour scheme. Under the octagonal bezel, a contrasting blue gasket ring stands out.
The dial is in a matt grey tone. The white gold hour markers and hands are also luminous. The rotating bezel is blue and has a white 15-minute zone and white numerals. In addition to the grey rubber strap on which this watch is presented, the manufacture includes a black strap.
The movement
Audemars Piguet equips the Offshore Diver with its new in-house 4308 calibre. It has automatic winding and a power reserve of 60 hours. It also offers a date function with quick setting. In addition, a patented mechanism ensures greater stability and precision when setting the watch. The crown at 10 o’clock uses a uni-directional click mechanism to move the diving scale on the inner rotating ring of the dial.
The decorated calibre can be viewed through the sapphire crystal caseback. The model-specific blackened oscillating weight in 22-carat rose gold sits on the movement, which is decorated with Geneva stripes, circular graining, as well as bevelled edges.
Royal Oak Offshore now with interchangeable strap system
This year’s models in the Offshore collection are equipped with the new interchangeable strap system. It allows the quick exchange of straps and clasps without tools. By pressing two pushers, straps can be easily clicked on or off. Rubber straps in green, blue, grey and black are available for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver, as well as three calfskin straps in beige, brown and black.
The three new variations of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver will be available in boutiques and from authorised dealers from May 2021.
