This is the third time that Swiss watchmaker Hublot and luxury retailer Bucherer have teamed up. Already in 2019 and 2021, the Hublot Classic Fusion Bronze Bucherer Blue and Big Bang Unico Bucherer Blue are two models that experiment with materials such as ceramic, titanium, bronze and rubber. Now Hublot and Bucherer are jointly launching two new limited creations, the Big Bang Unico Bucherer Exclusive Titanium and the Big Bang Unico Bucherer Exclusive Ceramic with new unusual combinations of materials.
Case and dial
The 42 mm case of the Big Bang Unico Bucherer Exclusive Titanium is made of polished titanium. The new Big Bang Unico Bucherer Exclusive Ceramic is made of black, micro-blasted ceramic. In keeping with the Swiss watch manufacturer’s “Art of Fusion” approach, both bezels are made of sapphire crystal. The titanium version is made of clear sapphire crystal and the ceramic version of black sapphire crystal. The dials are both heavily skeletonised.
Movement
The new models are powered by the HUB1280 in-house manufacture chronograph movement with flyback function and column wheel. It is the latest generation of the original Big Bang calibre Unico (HUB1240) and is slightly thinner at 6.75 mm instead of 8.05 mm, which also means that the new Big Bang Unico models are around 1 mm thinner overall. The calibre HUB1280 runs with a strong power reserve of 72 hours.
Price & availability
The new Big Bang Unico Bucherer Exclusive Titanium is worn on a white rubber strap. The new Big Bang Unico Bucherer Exclusive Ceramic uses a black rubber strap. The Hublot x Bucherer editions are each limited to 30 pieces and are available now in selected Bucherer boutiques and online in Germany, France, the United Kingdom and the United States. Price: 43,900 euros for the titanium version and 48,300 euros for the ceramic version.
