Akrivia
Inspired by the Greek word for ‘precision,’ Rexhep Rexhepi founded the Akrivia brand in 2012 after completing his training at Patek Philippe, followed by stints at the watchmaker think tank BNB Concept and F.P. Journe as a watchmaker. The independent haute horlogerie manufacturer specialises in sophisticated timepieces with tourbillons and has since established itself on the international stage. Among other accolades, it received one of the highest honours in the watchmaking world when it was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2018 for its Chronometrè Contemporain timepiece. Less than 30 watches are produced each year in the workshop in Geneva's old town. With the meticulously detailed AK-01 Tourbillion Chronographe Monopoussoir, Rexhep Rexhepi laid the foundation for his brand in 2013 and expressed his preference for chronographs. Since then, the manufacturer's portfolio has been divided into two collections. While the main collection captivates with its expressive case design and ambitious complications, the founder's collection features models with Rexhep Rexhepi's signature and a more traditional approach. In addition, 2023 saw the creation of the strictly limited LVRR-01 Chronographe à Sonnerie as part of an extraordinary collaboration with Louis Vuitton, featuring the French maison's Tambour case with two dials and a striking mechanism.
