Blancpain

The Swiss manufacture Blancpain was founded in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain in Villeret and is considered one of the oldest watch brands still in existence today. From the very beginning, the Maison has placed particular emphasis on precise craftsmanship, technical innovation and elegant design. All movements are produced in-house, featuring traditional finishing, hand-engraved decoration, and classical watchmaking techniques. Historically significant is the Fifty Fathoms, introduced in 1953 as one of the first modern diving watches and still regarded as an icon today. It set new standards in terms of water resistance, reliability, and functionality, including features such as a unidirectional rotating bezel and robust cases. In addition to sporty models like the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe, Blancpain also produces highly sophisticated complication watches: the Villeret collection combines classical elegance with top-tier mechanics, including tourbillons, minute repeaters and perpetual calendars. Collections such as Le Brassus and Métiers d’Art showcase the manufacture’s artisanal diversity, from elaborate dials to intricately decorated movements.
