Longines
Founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier by Auguste Agassiz and a group of fellow watchmakers, Longines was taken over in 1852 by Agassiz's nephew, Ernest Francillon. With almost 200 years of history behind it, Longines is one of Switzerland's most storied watch brands. The company has become renowned not only for its elegant designs, but also for its long-standing involvement in sports timekeeping, a tradition that continues to this day in disciplines such as equestrianism, skiing and athletics. Its collections include the classical complications of the Master Collection, the sporty HydroConquest for divers and the Heritage line, which reinterprets historic models. Longines owns one of the oldest continuously registered logos in the industry: the winged hourglass. The brand embodies timeless elegance, technical precision, and a close connection to sport.
