Glashütte Original PanoLunarInverse: A Window to the Universe
With the PanoLunarInverse, Glashütte Original presents a new addition to its unique collections. The watch features an inverted movement and also offers a moon phase display in a platinum case. 200 pieces are available from now.
Case
The case of the PanoLunarInverse has a diameter of 42 mm and is made of platinum. This noble metal not only lends the watch an exclusive aura but also ensures durability. Water resistance is rated at 5 bar, making the watch suitable for everyday use. The sapphire crystal case back provides a view of the intricacies of the movement, including the special rotor with its domed moon. The front is also protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, ensuring optimal visibility of the dial and its features.
Dial
The dial of the PanoLunarInverse is a true work of art, featuring a deep blue aventurine sky that serves as the backdrop for the moon phase display. The moon, crafted in relief and laser-engraved, moves through a cut-out on the dial, revealing the mechanical workings behind it. The off-centre hour and minute display on the left side of the dial highlights the inverse design of the movement, with the balance wheel visible beneath a black rhodium-plated bridge. Intricate guilloché decorations add an extra touch of elegance to this otherwise technical component.
Movement
At the heart of the PanoLunarInverse is the automatic calibre 91-04. This movement is particularly noteworthy for its inverse mounting, which allows for a view of the mechanics from the dial side. The balance wheel, in particular, becomes an eye-catching feature, oscillating beneath a decorative bridge. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of up to 45 hours. The skeletonised rotor, adorned with a domed moon, ensures winding and adds a thematic element to the watch.
Strap
The PanoLunarInverse comes with two strap options. One is made of grey nubuck leather from Louisiana, offering a luxurious feel and appearance. The other is a blue synthetic strap made from 100% recycled materials, appealing to environmentally conscious customers. Both straps ensure a comfortable fit and are equipped with a platinum folding clasp that guarantees secure closure.
Availability of the Glashütte Original PanoLunarInverse
The PanoLunarInverse is limited to 200 pieces and available from all official Glashütte Original retailers from now.
