Jaeger-LeCoultre is introducing two new Memovox models, one of which is the Master Control Memovox. The Memovox collection’s history dates back to the 1940s. As the post-war economy improved, the brand developed the Memovox and its mechanical alarm in the spirit of the innovative, late-40s Zeitgeist. The new watch, like its sibling, is housed in the new Master Control 40 mm stainless-steel case.
The Master Control Memovox displays the time with the help of two dauphine hands on a silvery sunray dial, while a blue seconds hand provides a splash of colour. Furthermore, a date window lies at 3 o’clock. Additionally, an arrow on the disc in the centre points to the hour at which the alarm will sound.
The in-house Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 956 drives the Master Control Memovox. The movement is a self-winding mechanism, which offers a 45-hour power reserve. The revised movement generates the alarm by means of the hammer striking the side of the case. The sound is supposed to evoke the sound of a school bell. Unlike its predecessors, the Memovox’s mechanism can be viewed through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Finally, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Memovox is water-resistant to 50 m and is worn on a brown nappa leather strap. The price for this model is 11,900 euros.
Jaeger-LeCoultre is introducing two new Memovox models to its Master Control collection, one of which is the Master Control Memovox Timer (The other one is the Master Control Memovox).
