IWC Schaffhausen
In 1868, American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones set out to combine Swiss watchmaking expertise with modern manufacturing techniques and founded the International Watch Company (IWC) in Schaffhausen. From the outset, the brand was defined by a clear, technical design language and an engineering-driven approach to innovation. Precision and reliability paired with aesthetic restraint remain core principles of the collection today. IWC is renowned for its Pilot's Watches, which have set the standard for aviation timepieces since the 1930s; the elegant Portofino line, which blends classical watchmaking with contemporary style; and the Portugieser collection, with its large dials and nautical flair. The portfolio also includes the Aquatimer professional diver’s watch; the Ingenieur collection, designed by Gérald Genta, featuring a stainless-steel case with an integrated bracelet; and the Da Vinci models, which feature complex complications such as perpetual calendars and chronographs.
