Polished and satin-finished surfaces create a balanced interplay of light and shadow. A domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating enhances scratch and shatter resistance while minimising disruptive reflections. The unidirectional rotating bezel with ceramic inlay and ratchet mechanism allows for precise underwater time measurements and retains its colour intensity over time. The screw-down crown, fitted with two gaskets, contributes to the 300-metre water resistance, as does the screw-down steel caseback. Bright accents in North Sea azure on the rehaut with minute markings and the seconds hand provide contrast and evoke the crashing waves along the coastline. Broad, angular hour and minute indices and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent legibility even in dark depths or at night. The absence of redundant displays keeps the dial uncluttered, with just two hands for hours and minutes prioritising clarity. Operating at a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it ensures precise timekeeping and holds COSC certification, guaranteeing deviations of only a few seconds per day. The power reserve is approximately 38 hours – sufficient for daily use, though modest compared to modern calibres offering over 70 hours. The movement has a diameter of 25.6 millimetres and a height of 4.6 millimetres.
Strap
The Sylt Edition is worn on a marine blue rubber strap, renowned for its water resistance, flexibility, and durability, making it ideal for use in wet environments or during athletic activities. The adjustable clasp offers up to 15 millimetres of extension, allowing the watch to be worn over a wetsuit or thick outdoor clothing and enhancing comfort during dives or watersports.
