Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition: Olympic Success
Gold, silver, and bronze medals are the symbols of Olympic success. The official timekeeper of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Omega, has unveiled a watch inspired by these coveted awards. The Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition combines the three famous materials in a special model. This watch pays tribute to athletic competitions and Omega’s long history as the timekeeper of the Olympic Games.
Case
The case of the Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition measures 39 mm in diameter and is made from Omega’s proprietary Bronze Gold. This alloy is known for its delicate hue and corrosion resistance. Bronze Gold is an Omega creation enriched with precious metals, including 37.5% gold (9 carat), as well as palladium and silver. The case back of the watch features an engraving of “BG 859,” referencing the case material. Additionally, the case back is adorned with a matte commemorative engraving of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Dial
The dial of the Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition is crafted from silver (Ag 925) and features a “Clous de Paris” decoration in the centre. This finishing has its roots in French craftsmanship and is considered particularly intricate and elegant. The minute track and the small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock are embellished with a brushed circular finish. The dark grey OMEGA logo in the brand’s historical style completes the design. The slim hands are made from 18-carat Sedna Gold with a special Bronze Gold PVD coating.
Movement
Inside the Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition beats the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8926. This hand-wound movement is a modern homage to the historical 30T2 movement used in the past. The 8926 ensures high precision and a power reserve of 72 hours, with manual winding. Each watch comes with a certification card confirming that the timepiece has successfully passed the Master Chronometer tests according to the standards set by METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).
Strap
The Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition is worn on a brown calf leather strap. The clasp of the strap is made from sandblasted Bronze Gold and is decorated with a polished Omega logo in a vintage style. The same vintage logo is also found on the crown of the watch.
Price & Availability
The Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition has a recommended retail price of €13,100. The watch is available at authorised Omega retailers and Omega boutiques worldwide. Interested buyers should act quickly, as it is a limited edition model.
