Hermès
Founded in 1837 as a saddlery, the Parisian fashion house Hermès has become a leading global luxury brand with a strong presence in the world of watchmaking. Since the 1970s, Hermès has manufactured its timepieces in Switzerland, specifically in Biel and Le Noirmont, blending French design sensibility with Swiss precision. The Arceau collection, designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978, is characterised by its asymmetrical lugs, while the Cape Cod model features a captivating square-within-a-rectangle case design. The Slim d’Hermès is notable for its elegant typography and slim profile. Hermès also regularly explores creative complications, such as artistic moon phases or the poetic Temps Suspendu, a watch that appears to stop time at the wearer’s request.
