Earlier this year, IWC Schaffhausen introduced a new version of the IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Chronograph. Now, the Swiss watchmaker is introducing three new variations into the collection. Dial options now include a choice of either a burgundy or green dial. Furthermore, the brand is introducing a Boutique Edition with a 18-carat 5N gold case with a blue dial.
The typical design of the IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Chronograph with a clear, open dial and recessed counters at 6 and 12 o’clock remain unchanged. Furthermore, the applied Arabic numerals and slim feuille hands also remain part of the design. The edge of the dial features a printed quarter-second scale. This allows for a precise reading of the stop time. Additionally, domed, non-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the sapphire crystal back reveals the movement.
The manufacture calibre 69355 drives all three IWC Schaffhausen Portuguese Chronograph editions. The self-winding movement features a column-wheel chronograph and a power reserve of 46 hours. In addition, the stop-seconds function allows the time to be set precisely.
All three models are water-resistant to 30 meters. The Ref. IW371615 with a green dial and the Ref. IW371616 with a burgundy dial come in a 41 mm stainless steel case with a black alligator leather strap. The Boutique Edition Ref. IW371614 is presented in an 18 carat pink gold case, has a blue dial, gold-plated hands, 18 carat gold appliqués and a blue alligator strap.
The three new variants are an addition to the Portugieser collection. A total of nine different versions of the IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Chronograph are now available: six in stainless steel and three in 18-carat 5N gold.
PRICE: Ref. IW371615 (steel, green dial) and IW371616 (steel, burgundy dial) are priced at 7,850 euros. The price of the Ref. IW371614 (Boutique Edition) is 17,400 euros.
IWC Schaffhausen is extending its Portugieser collection by introducing the IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Automatic 40. The model bases itself on the well-known design of the Ref. 325 from the 1930s. Therefore, the small seconds are placed at 6 o'clock. Furthermore, the case is only available in 40 mm. Additionally, IWC is introducing two new 42…
