Encompassing 500 square metres over two levels, Van Cleef & Arpels’ new Hamburg boutique stands as the maison’s largest German address to date.

The brand is synonymous with timepieces and jewellery that unite poetic motifs, precious materials such as gold, gemstones and diamonds, and exceptional artistry with innovative watchmaking technology. A visit to the Hamburg boutique becomes a poetic journey of discovery – from fairy-tale opulence to understated elegance.

French elegance in a Hanseatic atmosphere

Inspired by the spirit of the Elbe metropolis, Van Cleef & Arpels created a bespoke monogram motif in subtle shades of champagne and black for the façade of its exclusive Neuer Wall 40 location – a first for any Van Cleef & Arpels boutique in Europe.

The transparent design with diamond shapes allows natural light to flood into the front area of the boutique. The part facing the Bleichenfleet Canal, on the other hand, blends harmoniously into the architecture of Hamburg’s historic city centre with its subtle stucco work.

Relaxed exclusivity and artistic ambience

The characteristic design codes of Van Cleef & Arpels characterise the interior of the Hamburg boutique. On the ground floor, visitors are welcomed by a friendly, bright atmosphere with a bar lounge and the Moon Couch balcony overlooking the Bleichenfleet canal.

A relaxed private area awaits guests on the upper floor, featuring an intimate dining room, a conservatory, and the elegant Salon 1906, where pieces from the Patrimonial collection are regularly showcased.

There are also two exclusive private salons. While one is reminiscent of the Art Deco tradition of Van Cleef & Arpels, the other is dedicated to the creative universe of the luxury Maison.

The holistic experience is rounded off by works of art created especially for the boutique. A monumental floral mural adorns the staircase in soft tones, and a seemingly floating ceiling painting graces the bar lounge.

Patrimonial: ‘Welcome to the world of Van Cleef & Arpels’

To mark the opening of the Hamburg boutique, selected pieces from the Patrimonial Collection will be on display in Salon 1906 until January 2026. These pieces illustrate the origins, DNA, craftsmanship, and philosophy of the brand.

To this end, Van Cleef & Arpels has brought together its most iconic creations from 1906 to 1953 in the Patrimonial Collection. Among the highlights is the 1946 Secret Watch Ludo, crafted in platinum and set with diamonds.

Located at Neuer Wall 40 in Hamburg, the new Van Cleef & Arpels boutique is open Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
