Winter Mood: OMEGA Globemaster Annual Calendar in Green, Burgundy And Gold
In keeping with the season, OMEGA is presenting three new variants of the Globemaster Annual Calendar in subdued colours. The first watch has a trendy green dial. The second has a burgundy dial and a bezel in OMEGA’s Sedna Gold. Lastly, the Manufacture presents a variant with a Sedna Gold case paired with a dial of the same material. All three models offer an annual calendar with date and are powered by in-house Co-Axial calibres. Last but not least, they appear on colour-coordinated straps made of alligator leather.
Clear Lines And Striking Appearance
The three new models also offer three different case configurations. A stainless steel case is paired with the deep green dial. The red version, on the other hand, has a bezel made of Sedna Gold and the crown is also made of this alloy. The most luxurious variant appears in a case made entirely of 18-karat Sedna Gold. All of them, however, share the same shape and diameter of 41 mm. The straight lines and angular lugs are inspired by the Manufacture’s past. On the back, the see-through case back allows a view of the mechanics. In the centre, however, is a medallion of case material. The image of an observatory is embossed on it, surrounded by a polished sky with eight stars.
Dials in Green, Burgundy And Sedna Gold
The dials feature the “Pie Pan” shape that already adorned the Constellation from 1952. The dial of the gold version is indeed made of 18-carat gold, as is indicated by “Au750” under the hands. Like the indices, the hands on all Globemaster Annual Calendar models are luminescent. OMEGA places the months in cursive script between the indices. There is also a date window at 6 o’clock. Last but not least, a Constellation star adorns the dials.
The Co-Axial Movement Inside The Globemaster Annual Calendar
The OMEGA 8922 calibre powers the steel Globemaster Annual Calendar models. The gold-cased version comes instead with the 8923 calibre, which stands out for its higher-quality finish. Both have automatic winding and a power autonomy of 55 hours. They also use OMEGA’s Co-Axial escapement, which improves the longevity of the mechanism. In addition, the manufacture uses amagnetic parts to ensure precision in everyday use. The watch’s performance is also backed up by the fact that it has been awarded the METAS Master Chronometer certificate. This guarantees a maximum rate deviation of -0/+5 seconds per day.
Price & Availability of the OMEGA Globemaster Annual Calendar
The three new variants of the OMEGA Globemaster appear on coloured straps made of alligator leather. While the green and red dials have leather straps of the same colour, the model with a gold case appears on a black leather strap. The watches will be available in stores “soon”. Last but not least, OMEGA also provides a 5-year warranty. The OMEGA Constellation Globemaster Annual Calendar with a green dial costs 8,300 euros. The red version costs 11,000 euros. Finally, the golden Globemaster. It costs 30,900 euros.
