Breguet Tradition Quantième Rétrograde 7597: Retrograde Date in Night Blue
Breguet is presenting a new variant of the Tradition Quantième Rétrograde 7597. The watch appears in a white gold case and now has a midnight blue dial and a matching date indication. Previously, the white gold case was only available with a silver dial. The new model comes on a matching blue leather strap with a pin buckle.
Case
The case of this Breguet is made of white gold and measures 40 mm in diameter with a height of 12.1 mm. It has fine fluting on the middle part of the case and welded-on lugs. The crown at 3 o’clock is decorated with a B. On the other side, at 10 o’clock, there is a screw-down pusher responsible for advancing the date. In addition, there is a domed sapphire crystal and a case back made of the same material. The water resistance is 3 bar or 30 metres.
The New Midnight Blue Dial of The Breguet Tradition 7597
At 12 o’clock is the off-centre dial, now in deep night blue. It bears a hand-guilloched “Clous de Paris” motif and is mounted on the movement with two screws. Typical of the Manufacture are the two “Pomme” hands with openworked tips. Together with the Roman numerals, they indicate the time.
The blue date display stretches along the lower edge of the case. The numerals consist of alternating silver-coloured stamp prints and gold cabochons. A blued steel hand moves along the track in the course of the month and then jumps back to the starting position. To allow the hand to move freely, it has a step to dodge the mechanics. Finally, the pusher at 10 o’clock increments the hand.
The Movement With Pointer Date
The movement in the Breguet Tradition 7597 goes by the name 505Q and consists of 269 parts. Since the most important components are on the front, only the winding rotor sits on the back. The gold oscillating weight is reminiscent of historical Breguet pocket watches from 1780. The maximum power autonomy here is 50 hours. The house also equips the watch with an inverted lever escapement and silicon horns. In addition, there is a Breguet silicon balance spring that operates at a frequency of 3 hertz.
Price & Availability of The Breguet Tradition Quantième Rétrograde 7597
The watch comes on a midnight blue strap made of alligator leather. It features a pin buckle. The price is 39,200 euros.
