Breguet’s new release of the platinum Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique 5367 introduces a deep blue dial and platinum case.
The new model features curved Arabic numerals and the typical Breguet-style hands. In addition, the inscribed part of the dial is slightly offset from the lower right edge of the case. The dial itself is created using the “Grand Feu” method – a complicated decoration process in which many layers of enamel are applied at extremely high temperatures to ensure durability and to achieve the desired colour.
The 41mm platinum case with a finely fluted band is water-resistant to 30m and houses the mechanical Breguet calibre 581 with automatic winding, which, measuring 3mm, is the thinnest tourbillon movement in the company. Thanks to its high-energy barrel, the movement offers a power reserve of 80 hours.
The tourbillon itself is located in a titanium cage between 4 and 6 o’clock and powers the small seconds on the same axis. Inside the cage, one can also observe the escapement and in-house silicon balance spring (oscillating at a fast rate of 4 Herz). The glass caseback reveals the movement, which is decorated with engravings and bears the Breguet signature.
The new Edition Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique 5367 is worn on a matching blue leather strap with a platinum triple folding buckle. Price: 156,300 euros.
