Hublot Big Bang Unico Essential Grey: Online-Exclusive in All-Grey
Hublot is presenting the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey, a new model designed exclusively for the company’s own e-commerce platform. This version of the Big Bang is remarkable for its monochrome grey design. The case is of lightweight titanium and has a full satin finish. The unisex watch integrates in-house mechanics featuring a flyback function and also offers a strap change system. As an online exclusive, the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey is not available in stationary retail. It is also limited to 200 pieces.
The Case of The Big Bang Unico Essential Grey is Satin-Finished Titanium
The case is of titanium, a metal known for its lightness. This Big Bang, however, features a satin finish with only some polished surfaces for elegant contrast. The watch measures 42 mm in diameter with a height of 14.5 mm. On the back, the case back allows a view of the mechanics and the limitation number can also be found here. The water resistance of this model is 10 bar or 100 metres.
The Dial Reveals The Mechanics
On the front of the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey, the watchmakers continue the monochrome design. The applied indices and numerals are visible through the sapphire crystal, but above all the open dial reveals the mechanics. On the periphery, a minute track winds around the centre, which also has a satin finish. The large main hands show the time and have luminous material to ensure readability even in the dark. At 9 o’clock is a small seconds and opposite at 3 o’clock is a 60-minute totaliser. The latter also integrates the date window.
The Movement Offers a Chronograph With Flyback
Hublot equips the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey with the HUB1280 manufacture calibre. The movement on top of the in-house base consists of 354 components with 42 jewels. It offers automatic winding and a power reserve of 72 hours. The chronograph integrates both a column wheel and a horizontal double clutch. These components are on the dial side are thus visible in action. In addition, the timepiece offers a flyback function. This allows the time measurement to be restarted by pressing just one pusher. In terms of finishing, the manufacture holds back in favour of a minimalist look. The movement does have matt surfaces and is also equipped with a skeletonised rotor.
Price & Availability of the Hublot Big Bang Unico Essential Grey
The watch comes on a grey, lined rubber strap with a folding clasp. Additionally, the company includes a grey textile strap with a Velcro fastener. The straps can be removed easily and without tools using the pushers on the lugs. The reference 441.NX.4210.RX.HEC22 is a limited edition of 200 pieces and is only available online. The price is 20,700 euros.
