Porsche Design is introducing the Chronograph 911 GT3, available exclusively to owners of the new Porsche 911 GT3. The design of the watch is based on the car and is intended to reflect the performance demands of motorsport. The exclusive model integrates a chronograph with flyback function for time measurement. The watch is available with a sporty blue colour ring. Alternatively, a purist version with a black ring is also available. In addition, further customisations can be made via the brand’s watch configurator.
The car – The Porsche 911 GT3
The 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 is the latest iteration of the race car that’s not just fun on the racetrack, but also on the way back home. Equipped with a 4.0-litre 6-cylinder engine, the GT3 boasts more than 500 hp. New features include the spoiler with swan-neck connection, the front section air outlets and the rear diffuser. The new Porsche 911 GT3 is available starting at 167,518 Euros.

Case & Material
The Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3 is housed in a 42 mm case made of titanium. The material is characterised by its low weight and high resistance. For this reason, titanium is also used in motorsport. In fact, the connecting rods in the engine of the Porsche 911 GT3 are made of this very metal. The case has a sapphire crystal back and is water-resistant up to 5 bar or 50 metres.
Dial
The dial is characterised by strong contrasts and good readability. The hands and indices in white and yellow stand out on the black background. A 30-minute counter is located at 12 o’clock, while the hours are counted at 6 o’clock. Porsche Design also integrates a “mechanical function indicator” at 9 o’clock. This signals the running of the watch with a disc that is coupled to the seconds wheel. Last but not least, the manufacturer places a date window at 4 o’clock.
The movement inside the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3
The WERK 01.200 calibre powers the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3. It offers a chronograph with flyback function. This means that a running time measurement can be restarted without having to be stopped first. Furthermore, the watch has an automatic winding by rotor, which is based on the design of the Porsche 911 GT3 wheels.
The power reserve of the WERK 01.200 calibre is 48 hours. The movement is COSC-certified, which guarantees a maximum rate deviation of -4 to +6 seconds per day. The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement decorated with chrome-plated bridges, plates and polished screws.
The Porsche Design Watch Configurator
With the Porsche Design watch configurator introduced in 2020, the customer can make further individualisations to the watch. On the one hand, a case with a black coating is available. In addition, the tachymeter scale can be exchanged for a classic minute scale and even the colour of the hands can be adapted to personal taste. However, the configurator is only available in Germany, the United Kingdom and the USA. In all other countries, Porsche lovers will have to contend themselves with the two variants that differ by the colour ring.
The watch comes on a strap made of Porsche vehicle leather with “GT3 embossing” and stitching in contrasting colours. Alternatively, a titanium bracelet is also available. The strap change system allows the strap to be replaced without the need for additional tools.
Finally, the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3 is available to owners of the Porsche 911 GT3 from a price of 7,750 euros. The delivery time is between eight and twelve weeks.
