Stowa Partitio Green Limited: The New Persona of the Long-established Manufacture
Stowa is introducing a Partitio with a deep green dial. Inspired by the wooded landscape around the brand’s place of origin, the tone is intended to reflect the new corporate identity since the relaunch. As a limited edition of 100 pieces, this 37 mm Stowa Partitio Green Limited with a polished case but compact dimensions and clear readability embodies the new Stowa.
Robust But Sleek Case
The case measures a compact 37 mm in diameter with a height of 10.9 mm, which makes for neat dimensions. Lug to lug, it remains at 46.9 mm. While the round bezel emphasises the robustness of the watch, the fully polished case lends the Partitio an elegant allure. Meanwhile, the sapphire crystal back is revealing the mechanics. The water resistance is 50 metres.
The Dial Cites The Brand’s Roots
The deep green dial not only underpins the new brand identity of the traditional company, but also ensures an elegant appearance. The ‘faded, cool, moonlit colour’ is inspired by the company’s origins in the Black Forest. However, it also embodies values such as sustainability and timelessness, which Stowa is committed to. Despite its apparent elitism, the cool colour manages to convey a warm, rustic feeling.
Refined with a sunburst finish, the dial of the Stowa Partitio Green Limited oozes elegant minimalism. Nevertheless, the taut minute track and Arabic numerals ensure perfect legibility. An interesting detail is the seconds hand that does without a counterweight, which is also a feature of the Stowa Verus, but is rarely found in the broader watch industry. However, like the cathedral hands with C3 luminous material, it is characteristic of the Partitio design that stems from the 1930s. Likewise the minimal inscriptions in fine lettering that seemingly fade away and put the limelight on dial.
Movement
Inside the watch is the workhorse SW200 from Sellita. Stowa chooses the Top-finish here which includes better components and blue screws. The self-winding movement also features a rotor customised with the Stowa logo and a special engraving with the model designation. The movement achieves a rate deviation of +/- 4 seconds per day and a power reserve of 38 hours.
Strap, Price & Availability of The Stowa Partitio Green Limited
When it comes to the strap options there is either a hand-stitched, finely textured black leather strap with a polished pin buckle or a polished Milanese strap. The watch is a limited edition of 100 pieces. The price is 1,190 euros with a leather strap or 1,260 euros with a Milanese bracelet.
