SIHH 2019: Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Majestic Blue Collection
On the SIHH 2019 the Geneva luxury watch brand Vacheron Constantin launched three models, which are part of the newly interpreted ‘Patrimony collection’. The design of the models is as gentle as the one of the first models of the line from the 1950s. Especially lovers of minimalism should be convinced.

Patrimony Manual-winding, hours and minutes, calibre 1400
The first of the three new models, the Patrimony Majestic Blue Manual Winding (Ref. 81180/000R-B518) has a skinny 6.79 mm high case. Its curving hands move across the domed dial, embracing their own form. The applied hour-markers on the dial are completed with cone-shaped quarter-hour-markers and elegant signature pearl minute-markers.

The watch of the ‘Patrimony line’ is designed in the colour blue. By using sunburst finishes on the blue dial, it got a slightly shimmering surface. On the pin-buckle of the also blue alligator leather strap the Vacheron Constantin emblem is visible. Other than that the model offers the possibility of personalizing the watches caseback, so that the watch can become an emotional companion to its owner.
The caliber 1400 is manufactured out of 98 finely decorated pieces and is located inside a space merely mere 2.6 mm thick. The oscillating rate of the model is 28,800 vibration an hour, which is a frequency of about 4 Hz. The model has a power reserve of 40 hours.

For those, who prefer an automatic mechanism, Vacheron Constantin offers a second model, the Patrimony Majestic Blue Self-Winding (Ref.85180/000R-B515) in the same blue colour, which indicates hours, minutes and seconds, as well as a date window.

The 196 individual pieces of the caliber 2450 Q6, including a 22K gold oscillating weight, can be seen through the transparent caseback. The alligator leather strap of the model und its pin buckle are inspired by the design of the 1950’s models.
With an oscillating weight of 28,800 vibrations per hour the caliber 2450 Q6 offers a power reserve of 40 hours.
The third model of the line, the Patrimony Majestic Blue Retrograde (Ref. 4000U/000R-B516), introduced on the SIHH 2019 has a double retrograde display of the day and the date.

The only 9.7 mm high model has a diameter of 42.5 mm. Even though the complications have been revised and extended the measurings of the ‘Patrimony collection’ were kept. The functions of the watch are managed by a single crown, which prevents any dirsturbance or protuberance. The alligator leather strap is as well inspired by the the designs from the 1950s.
Self-winding Calibre 2460 R31R7/2
The self-winding Calibre 2460 R31R7/2 is also visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback. In total 276 components operate within a thickness of just 5.4 mm.
