The Laurent Ferrier Manufacture presents a new interpretation of the Classic Origin. The new watch by the name of Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Green appears as a limited edition of 30 pieces. The case, although classically shaped, is made of titanium, which gives the timepiece a modern temperament.
The Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Green
The new Classic Origin Green is housed in a 40 mm titanium grade-5 case that echoes the stone-shaped lines of the Classic case. The entire case is polished, as is the bezel. The Ferrier-typical “ball” crown is also present, which is supposed to offer a high level of operating comfort.
The front is kept minimalist. The green of the dial runs from the center to a forest green at the edge. A gray railroad minute track with yellow numerals borders the dial at the bezel. A small seconds is located at 6 o’clock and features the same yellow contrast. All hands, like the indexes, are made of 18-Carat white gold. However, the main hands feature the brand’s signature assegai shape, while the seconds hand is kept classic.
The in-house caliber LF116.01 powers the Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Green. It is manually wound, but the watch offers a high power reserve of 80 hours. A classic Swiss lever and a free-sprung balance regulate the energy. A Breguet end-curve allows for concentric breathing and improves isochronism. The exhibition caseback showcases the mechanics at work. The movement is finished with sandblasted, black rhodium-plated surfaces and hand-polished edges.
The Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Green is presented on a honey brown Timberland leather strap with Alcantara lining. A titanium pin buckle secures the watch on the wrist. As a “Série Atelier” the watch is available now, though limited to 30 pieces. The watch can be purchased on the Laurent Ferrier website for a price of 28,500 Swiss francs.
