Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon in Pink Gold
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon, first appearing back in 2019, is now available in 18-carat pink gold. Like its predecessor, the watch integrates a tourbillon with small seconds, a power reserve of 80 hours and an array of interchangeable straps. Last but not least, the sapphire crystal caseback offers a view of the ornate movement with a peripheral oscillating weight made of 22 carat gold.
Overseas Tourbillon: Now with a pink-gold case
Vacheron Constantin’s new Overseas Tourbillon features a case in 18-carat 5N red gold, which measures 42.5 mm x 10.39 mm. The case’s recognisable, dynamic lines complement the shape of the hexagonal bezel, which evokes the brand’s emblem, the Maltese Cross. In addition, the case withstands water pressure up to 5 bar or 50 m.
A blue sunburst dial
The already recognisable deep blue sunburst dial was specially developed for the Overseas collection. The dial complements the watch’s pink-gold indices and hands, which, thanks to the luminous material within, provide 24/7 legibility. Meanwhile, the tourbillon at 6 o’clock carries an arrow which, together with the seconds graduation, serves as an unconventional small seconds.
Calibre 2160 with tourbillon and peripheral oscillating weight
The manufacture calibre 2160 drives the Overseas Tourbillon and provides hours, minutes and, of course, a tourbillon. It consists of 188 components and is extremely flat, with an overall height of 5.65 mm. In addition, the movement has an automatic winding mechanism that uses a peripheral oscillating weight. The movement provides a power reserve of up to 80 hours.
The movement’s decoration includes Geneva stripes and perlée. In addition, the manufacture has skeletonised the tourbillon cage and hand-chamfered the bridge above it. Furthermore, the oscillating weight in 22-carat gold is decorated with a motif reminiscent of the Maltese Cross. Finally, the watch carries the hard-to-achieve Geneva Seal.
Last but not least, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon comes on a matching 18-carat red gold bracelet. Additionally, the manufacture also includes a blue alligator leather strap and a blue rubber strap. These can be changed easily and without tools using the in-house quick-change system. The watch costs 165,000 euros.
