Zenith Chronomaster Sport Green: Core Collection Gets Coloured Bezel And Rubber Strap
With the new Zenith Chronomaster Sport Green, the manufacture is presenting a new, striking model in lush green. Not only is this the first time a green ceramic bezel appears in the core collection, but the manufacture is also presenting a completely new rubber strap. Inside is the high-frequency El Primero 3600 calibre, which enables the measurement of 1/10th of a second.
Chronomaster Sport Case With Green Ceramic Bezel
The case measures 41 mm and features a typical sports watch design. The sides are polished, while the front is dominated by brushed lugs. There are unprotected pump pushers on the right flank, which are responsible for the chronograph control. The polished crown with the Zenith logo enables a water resistance of 100 metres. The green ceramic bezel marks the first time Zenith has given the Chronomaster Sport core collection a coloured bezel (the Chronomaster Sport Aaron Rodgers is a limited edition). The bezel bears a 1/10th of a second scale and thus refers to the speedy oscillator inside. The movement is also visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
Green Dial With The Typical Three-Colour Counters
The green lacquered dial continues the colour of the ceramic bezel. Here, two main hands together with faceted indices indicate the time. All of them are luminous, making them easier to read in the dark. The three-colour counters are typical of the Chronomaster Sport and make a reappearance in this new context. Because the central chronograph hand only needs 10 seconds to complete one revolution, there is a 60-second counter at three o’clock and a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock. Last but not least, the date has a disc in a matching colour.
High-Frequency Chronograph Enables 1/10 Second Measurement
Inside is still the El Primero 3600 calibre, which ticks at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz), making it possible to measure 1/10th of a second. Despite the high frequency, the mainspring barrel achieves a maximum power reserve of 60 hours. However, the automatic winding system ensures continuous energy. The openworked rotor features a Zenith star.
Strap, Price & Availability Of The Zenith Chronomaster Sport Green
The new Zenith Chronomaster Sport Green is available on either a three-link stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap. The latter marks the introduction of an alternative strap in the Chronomaster Sport collection. The rubber strap is colour-coordinated with the bezel and fits perfectly into the case. Meanwhile, the folding clasp secures the watch to the wrist. The watch is available in Zenith boutiques and from authorised retailers. The price is CHF 10,400 for the watch on the rubber strap and CHF 10,900 for the stainless steel bracelet.
