Lang & Heyne Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Singapore retailer Sincere Fine Watches, German watchmaker Lang & Heyne has unveiled the Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition. Limited to just seven pieces, this exclusive timepiece showcases the exquisite craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail that Lang & Heyne is known for. The watch also features the rare remontoir complication which regulates energy flow such that the seconds hand jumps in one second increments.
Case of the Lang & Heyne Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition
The case is crafted from 18-carat white gold, giving it a luxurious appearance. Measuring 39.2 mm in diameter and a slim 10.7 mm in thickness, the watch has a slender profile despite the complex mechanics that hide inside. The sapphire crystal on both the front and the caseback ensures durability and scratch resistance, while providing a clear view of the intricate movement within. The crystal on the caseback is engraved with the Sincere Fine Watches logo, adding a unique touch. With a water resistance of 3 bar, it is recommended to avoid contact with water.
Dial of the Lang & Heyne Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition
The dial is a standout feature, distinguishing it from the rest of the collection. Unlike the typical solid silver dials, this edition features a ceramic white dial with a sand-blasted royal blue decorative plate at the center. The interplay of colors and textures adds depth and character to the dial, enhancing its captivating appeal. The three-part dial concept includes a seconds subdial that measures just 0.4 mm thick and fits precisely into the baseplate’s recess, with chamfered and polished edges enhancing the dial’s three-dimensional appearance. Roman numerals are engraved into the ceramic and filled with black lacquer paint, adding to the overall elegance of the timepiece. The cathedral hands in polished steel further accentuate the dial’s classic aesthetics.
Movement of the Lang & Heyne Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition
At the heart of the watch is the Caliber VI-I movement. This handwound movement is distinguished by its exceptional finishing and meticulous hand engraving. The baseplate is engraved with ‘One of 7’, underscoring the exclusivity of this limited edition timepiece. The open caseback reveals the intricately designed gear train beneath the distinctive trigonal bridge, showcasing the movement’s architecture. The remontoir complication, positioned beside the escape wheel, enables a smooth and efficient transmission of power, resulting in a consistent transfer of energy across the entire power reserve. This complication also provides the visual appeal of the jumping seconds on the dial. The Caliber VI-I operates at a frequency of 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour (2.5 Hertz) and features 24 rubies and 1 brilliant-cut diamond.
Strap of the Lang & Heyne Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition
Thetimepiece comes equipped with a dark blue Alligator Mississippiensis leather strap. Known for its durability and flexibility, the strap ensures a comfortable fit on the wrist. The shark leather lining adds an extra layer of quality and comfort. Reflecting the prestige of the timepiece, the strap is paired with an 18-carat white gold pin buckle engraved with the Lang & Heyne logo.
