Watchmakers Maximilian
Büsser & Friends have released a new watch in the form of two editions –
the Horological Machine N°10 Bulldog, inspired by the bulldog. One edition is the Version Ti with
a grade 5 titanium case, which is presented on a blue calf-leather strap using
Velcro and a titanium buckle. Alternatively, the Version RT features a case
made of 18-carat red gold and grade 5 titanium and is presented on a brown
calf-leather strap with a red-gold folding buckle. The N°10 Bulldog features
sizeable sapphire crystals on both sides, which are treated with
anti-reflective coating. Its dimensions are 54mm x 45mm x 24mm.
As the watch aims to evoke
the stature of a Bulldog, the timepiece features two revolving aluminium domes,
created with the intention of resembling ‘rolling eyes’. The hours are
displayed on the left dome, while the minutes are displayed on the right, and
both use Super-LumiNova for round-the-clock legibility. On the RT version, the
hour and minute domes are black, and on the Ti version they are blue.
The timepiece is powered by
MB&F’s in-house manual-winding HM10 movement, featuring a single barrel
that provides a 45-hour power reserve. A 14mm flying balance wheel floats above
the time-telling domes. The power reserve is indicated by the opening and
closing of the watch’s ‘jaws’ found on the back. It can be wound by use of the
‘collar’ that bears the left crown at 11 o’clock, while the second crown at 1
o’clock sets the time.
The Horological Machine N°10 Bulldog is water-resistant to 50m. The Ti version is priced at 109,500 euros, while the RT version costs 125,000 euros.
