Omega Seamaster 37mm Milano Cortina 2026: Countdown to The Olympic Winter Games
The Olympic Games are approaching, and Omega is celebrating with a new watch. The Omega Seamaster 37mm Milano Cortina 2026 pays tribute to the upcoming Winter Olympics in Italy. This watch features a case with dog-leg lugs, inspired by the Seamaster XVI from 1956. The watch also has a Grand Feu enamel dial and an automatic movement.
Case: 37 mm in 18K Moonshine Gold
The case of the Omega Seamaster 37mm Milano Cortina 2026 is made of 18K Moonshine Gold. This proprietary material has a paler hue than regular gold, giving it a soft look. The dimensions are 37 mm in diameter and 11.55 mm in height. The design features a polished bezel and dog-leg lugs, which are a nod to the watch’s historical inspiration. The hexagonal crown on the right side is also made of gold and has an embossed vintage-style Omega logo. The front is protected by a box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, ensuring clarity and durability. The solid caseback is engraved with the Milano Cortina 2026 logo. Additionally, the watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters.
Dial: Classic Elegance with Olympic Roots
The dial of the Omega Seamaster 37mm Milano Cortina 2026 is made of domed white Grand Feu enamel. This artisanal material gives the dial a rich depth and lustre. The hour markers are made of 18K Moonshine Gold and have a sculptural shape, adding to the vintage aesthetic. The central hours, minutes, and seconds hands are in 18K yellow gold. The minute track and the vintage ‘Seamaster’ script are printed in grey enamel, adding a subtle contrast to the bright dial. There are no references to the Olympic Games, but the overall design is reminiscent of the era when Omega became official timekeeper of the games.
Movement: Co-Axial Escapement and Master Chronometer Certification
Inside the Omega Seamaster 37mm Milano Cortina 2026 ticks the in-house Calibre 8807. This automatic movement features the Co-Axial escapement, which reduces friction and increases longevity. The movement operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of 55 hours. The rotor is made of 18K Sedna gold. The movement is also decorated with Geneva waves in Arabesque and has red varnished engravings. Being a Master Chronometer, the movement is tested by METAS and is resistant to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 Gauss.
Strap: Brown Leather with Gold Buckle
The Omega Seamaster 37mm Milano Cortina 2026 comes with a brown alligator leather strap. The strap has matching lining and stitching, giving it a luxurious feel. The lug width is 19 mm. The buckle is made of polished 18K Moonshine Gold and features the vintage-style Omega logo in positive relief.
