To mark the occasion of the 175th anniversary of A. Lange & Söhne, the company is presenting the anniversary collection “Homage to F.A. Lange”, consisting of the 1815 Rattrapante Honeygold, the Tourbograph Perpetual Honeygold and the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Thin Honeygold. The latter is a particularly thin two-hand watch, limited to 175 pieces.
The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Thin Honeygold is housed in a 38 x 6.3 mm case made of 18-carat honeygold. This alloy has been developed exclusively for the Saxon manufacture and is said to be harder and more scratch-resistant than other gold alloys. The two-piece enamel dial is white. This contrasts with the dark grey printed Arabic numerals and the “Chemin de fer”-style minute track.
The manufacture calibre L093.1 powers the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Thin Honeygold. It consists of 167 parts as well as 21 rubies, yet measures only 2.9 mm in height. It is wound by hand up to a maximum power reserve of 72 hours. The shock-protected screw balance vibrates at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Additionally, the crown and ratchet wheel, as well as the hand-engraved balance cock, can be viewed through the sapphire crystal caseback.
The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Thin Honeygold is presented on a hand-sewn brown leather strap with an 18-carat honeygold pin buckle. The watch is part of the anniversary collection “Homage to F.A. Lange” and limited to 175 pieces. The price is 33,000 euros.
