Bell & Ross is introducing a new diver’s watch; the BR 03-92 DIVER FULL LUM. The timepiece inverts the normal principles of day to night legibility. Therefore, the entire dial has a full coating of green Superluminova. Additionally, the watch meets the specifications of a diver’s tool watch, according to the international standard ISO 6425. Bell & Ross’ latest creation is a limited edition of 999 pieces.
Firstly, the BR 03-92 DIVER FULL LUM uses a number of less-than-traditional materials. For example, it comes in a flight-inspired 42 mm x 42 mm matt black ceramic case, with the model’s recognisable four exposed screws. The shock-resistant case matches the watch’s brand new unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel. The bezel is equipped with a graduated 60-minute scale. Furthermore, the case has a screw-down crown, a closed caseback and a protective sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. It is water-resistant to 300 m.
Secondly, the metal dial has a covering of long-lasting, bright green Super-LumiNova C5 pigments for high legibility in darkness. This contrasts with the black-outlined hands and hour markers. By contrast, the metal appliqué indices and the bezel’s numerals use green Superluminova C3. This particular phosphorescent pigment is known for its intense colour. The Super-LumiNova coated timepiece has an entirely different aesthetic according to whether it is light or dark. The dial displays hours, minutes, seconds, as well as a subtle date window between 4 and 5 o’clock.
Thirdly, the automatic BR-CAL.302 calibre powers the BR 03-92 DIVER FULL LUM. The movement uses the Sellita SW300-1 as its base and has 28 jewels. Moreover, it has a 38-hour power reserve and a frequency of 4 Hz.
Finally, the diver’s watch is a limited edition of 999 pieces and, as mentioned, is water-resistant to 300 metres. It comes with a woven black rubber strap with a black PVD-coated steel buckle, or an ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric strap. The BR 03-92 DIVER FULL LUM costs 4,400 euros and is available from Bell & Ross’ E-Shop.
