Blancpain Unveils Two Villeret Limited Editions With Blue Dials
Blancpain has added two unique additions to its most classic collection in the form of a new Villeret Quantième Complet and a Villeret Ultraplate. Both wristwatches are housed in an 40mm 18-carat red-gold case and – for the first time – the red-gold material of the cases, Roman numerals and sage leaf-shaped hands have been paired with midnight blue sunburst dials. Both models are presented on a matching blue leather alligator strap or 18-carat red-gold bracelet. Flaunting open case backs, the watches are both water-resistant to 30m.
The Villeret Quantième Complet is equipped with a complete calendar at 12 o’clock and a moon-phase display (with a recognisable Blancpain illustrated moon face) at 6 o’clock. The self-winding 6654 movement inside has a 72-hour power reserve and features a simple safety system that enables its wearer to set the complete calendar without posing any risk to the watch’s movement. The new edition also features under-lug corrector mechanisms, meaning a pusher tool is not necessary. It is priced at 23,750 euros.
Meanwhile, the new Villeret Ultraplate model keeps things simple with an hour and minute display, large central seconds hand and a subtle date window at 3 o’clock. The timepiece is powered by the ultra-slim, self-winding 1151 movement, which boasts a 100-hour power reserve due to its high-performance silicon balance spring. It is priced at 18,010 euros.
