Breitling Superocean Bucherer Exclusive: Three Limited Editions Celebrate The New Partnership
Breitling is presenting three new models together with Bucherer. The three Breitling Superocean Bucherer Exclusive models in 36, 42 and 44 mm come in novel colours and celebrate the new partnership between the two Swiss companies. Following the takeover by Rolex in summer 2023, the jeweller, retailer and watch manufacturer Bucherer shows itself to still be embracing other manufacturers. The successful Breitling Superocean collection offers diver’s watches with a water resistance of 300 metres and a characteristic design. The special editions come in a fresh blue or black. With their rotating bezels and rubber strap, they are a remarkable companion for all occasions.
Overview
The Breitling Superocean Bucherer Exclusive models come in the 36, 42 and 44 mm diameters typical of the collection. The core collection does also include a 46 mm case. In classic Superocean style, we get a tool watch case with horizontal satin-finished sides and polished bevelled edges. The polished band tapers towards the crown and converges into a gentle crown guard. The model with the black dial, the 42, has an 18k rose gold crown. The bezel is also of rose gold and features a ceramic diver’s scale. The two versions with a blue dial have a steel bezel with a black or white ceramic insert instead. The solid caseback features the Bucherer lettering plus an anchor and the wordings “One of 88” and “Limited Edition”.
Dials in Light Blue And Black
Breitling is presenting three models with two distinct dials. On the Bucherer Exclusive Breitling Superocean 44 and 36, the summery light blue makes for a colourful refreshment. The dial of the 42 is a sensual black with a wine-red ring. The blue dials are instead paired with a white ring and black numerals. Since last year, the rejuvenated collection has presented itself with a playful dial that blends present and past.
The ‘paddle hands’ with a generous luminous covering are characteristic here. Together with the block indices with polished edges, they indicate the time. At 12 o’clock there is an appliquéd and polished Breitling “B”. At 6 o’clock is the name of the collection in brand design as well as the chronometer status and water resistance.
The Movement of The Breitling Superocean Bucherer Exclusive
When it comes to the mechanics, Breitling is opting for the ETA 2824-2, which has a Breitling rotor here. There are also several in-house upgrades in place. The final adjustment is likewise carried out under internal supervision which makes the COSC certification possible. The latter demands an accuracy of -4 and +6 seconds per day. Meanwhile, the barrel provides 38 hours of power, while the watch beats at a frequency of 4 Hz. The mechanics remain hidden behind the solid caseback.
Price And Availability of The Breitling Superocean Bucherer Exclusive
The diver’s watches come on a rubber strap fitted with a folding clasp. The two large diver’s pieces have a black strap, while the white bezel of the 36 matches to a white strap. The watches are limited to 88 pieces each and are available exclusively with Bucherer. If a customer is after a blue dial edition, the watches cost 5,050 or 5,150 euros respectively. Meanwhile, the Superocean Bucherer Exclusive 42 with a red dial costs 7,250 euros.
