Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Sylt Edition II: Summer on Sylt
Last year, Breitling launched a special edition celebrating the German island of Sylt. Now the brand is presenting the successor. The Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Sylt Edition II combines an ice-blue dial with a dark bezel and is thus very much in the spirit of summer. On the case back, Breitling places a special engraving that clearly shows the connection to the island. The watch comes on a rubber strap with a folding clasp. Like its predecessor, the watch is only available at Juwelier Spliedt in Kampen on Sylt.
The SuperOcean Case
The case of the Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Sylt Edition II is of stainless steel and measures 42 mm in diameter. It is polished all around and thus reflects the sun rays. The unidirectional rotating bezel has a ceramic insert, which makes it extremely scratch-resistant. Breitling engraves the typical Sylt beach chair on the case back. In addition, the numbering of the respective piece can be found here. With water resistance to 200 metres, the watch is also suitable for sporty activities on or in water.
The Ice-Blue Dial of The SuperOcean Heritage Sylt Edition II
The dial exudes summer feelings with its ice-blue colour. It has a satin sunburst finish and thus fits in perfectly with the aquatic lifestyle. The dial also features applied indices and broad vintage hands with luminous material. For better readability, there are also some luminous dots on the minute track. At 6 o’clock there is a date window on a white background.
The Movement Offers Automatic Winding And COSC Precision
Breitling equips the SuperOcean Heritage Sylt Edition II with the B20 calibre. It is based on TUDOR’s MT5612 and offers automatic winding. The maximum power reserve is 70 hours. The movement integrates 28 jewels and operates at a frequency of 4 hertz. A date function is also on board. Last but not least, the calibre B20 bears the COSC chronometer certificate, which guarantees, among other things, a rate deviation of a maximum of -4 to +6 seconds per day.
Price & Availability of The Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Sylt Edition II
The watch comes on a dark blue mesh rubber strap featuring a folding clasp. The Sylt Edition II is not limited, but is only available at Juwelier Spliedt in Kampen. Breitling will also have its own pop-up store there starting on 4 August. The price for the watch is 4,750 euros.
