Parmigiani Fleurier is introducing a new line of Tonda watches – the Tonda GT. With ‘tonda‘ meaning round in Italian, the luxury sports watch line aims to be both classic in form and wearable in its design. With this in mind, the Tonda GT watches are available not only with an elegant integrated bracelet, but also a sportier rubber strap. Two different versions of the GT are available; the Tonda GT Black or the Tonda GT Rose Gold Blue. Furthermore, the brand is introducing the complicated Tondagraph GTannual calendar and chronograph.
The Tonda GT Black features a stainless-steel case with a black dial, while the Tonda GT Rose Gold Blue features an 18-carat rose-gold case, accompanied by a blue dial. The watches have a case diameter of 42 mm, while their height measures 11.2 mm. Additionally, the cases feature a fluted bezel, a brushed middle case and broad polished outer lugs. Furthermore, sapphire crystal protects the dial and open caseback.
Furthermore, the watches’ respective dials both feature a ‘clou triangulaire’ guilloché pattern. A big date aperture lies at 12 o’clock, while the arched small seconds lie across two scales at 6 o’clock. Meanwhile, the delta-shaped hands and applied indices on the ribbed track are treated with black luminescent material. Additionally, a minute track runs around the edge of the dial.
Powering the Tonda GT watches is the in-house automatic PF044. The movement has a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 4 Hz. Additionally, the calibre has a total of 274 components, plus 33 jewels. Furthermore, the open-worked 22-carat gold rotor and bridges decorated with Côtes de Genève are visible via the caseback.
Finally, both models are water-resistant to 100 m thanks to the screw-down crown. The stainless-steel model comes with a matching bracelet (PFC910-0000210-B00182) or black rubber strap (PFC910-0000210-X01482), while the 18-carat rose-gold version comes with a matching bracelet (PFC910-1500340-B00782) or a blue rubber strap (PFC910-1500340-X03182).
