Greubel Forsey
The independent manufacture Greubel Forsey was founded in 2004 by Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey in the Vallée de Joux and has been awarded the Aiguille d’Or for its technical innovations. The duo specialise in complex tourbillons and mechanisms designed to achieve unprecedented levels of precision. Each watch is produced in extremely small numbers and finished entirely by hand. Among the most celebrated creations are the Double Tourbillon 30°, which minimises the effects of gravity through the interaction of an outer cage and a 30-degree inclined inner cage, and the Quadruple Tourbillon, featuring four independently operating tourbillons. The GMT models combine world-time functions with a three-dimensional globe, while the Hand Made 1, with its partially open dial, is considered a milestone, as over 95 per cent of its components are entirely hand-crafted.
