Green evokes peace, better times, and hope. Perhaps this explains why so many horology houses are choosing to introduce green dial watches.
In 1926, Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, established Tudor with the aim of offering the quality and robustness of Rolex at more accessible prices. Today, Tudor has established itself as an independent brand with a strong identity. It is particularly renowned for its robust tool watches, which are used by military forces and divers. Iconic models include the Black Bay, which takes inspiration from the design of 1950s and 1960s Submariners; the Pelagos, a professional titanium diver's watch with a helium escape valve and a depth rating of 500 metres; and the Heritage Chrono, which takes inspiration from historic motorsport watches.
