Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph: New Colours For The Ceramic Case
Hublot is introducing three new ceramic colours for the Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph. The cases and bezels are crafted from ceramic in Sand Beige, Dark Green, and Sky Blue. These models celebrate the 12th anniversary of the collection, which features a non-round case design. Each colour is limited to 200 pieces and showcases Hublot’s expertise with materials. The open dials reveal the HUB4700 movement, a modernised version of Zenith’s 5Hz El Primero.
Case
The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph is available in three ceramic colours: Sand Beige, Dark Green, and Sky Blue. The barrel-shaped case measures 42 mm in diameter and 14.1 mm in thickness. The water resistance is rated at 10 bar, equivalent to 100 metres. The microblasted and polished ceramic cases are scratch-resistant and lightweight, reflecting Hublot’s expertise with colored ceramic.
Dial
The dials of the Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph match the colour of the ceramic cases. They feature a skeleton design that showcases the inner workings of the watch. The hour markers, chronograph counters, and hands are in the same hue as the case, providing a cohesive look. The open dial reveals the HUB4700 movement that forms the background with its sultry shade.
Movement
The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph is powered by the HUB4700 movement. This automatic skeleton chronograph is a descendant of Zenith’s El Primero, the first Swiss high-frequency integrated chronograph calibre. The movement operates at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, equivalent to 5 Hz, and has a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. Notable features include a low-friction silicon escape wheel and a column wheel for smooth operation of the chronograph functions.
Strap
Each Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph comes with a black rubber strap that has a coloured central inlay that matches the case of the watch. The straps are made of structured rubber, ensuring durability and comfort. They are also equipped with a matching clasp, providing secure closure.
Price & Availability
The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph in Sand Beige, Dark Green, and Sky Blue ceramic are limited to 200 pieces each. These watches are available at Hublot boutiques and authorised retailers worldwide. The price for each model is 28,500 euros.
