Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue & Leather
Porsche Design debuted the 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Brown & Leather two years ago and have now launched the model with a brand new navy blue look – the 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue & Leather.
Presented on a genuine blue Porsche leather strap with grey stitching and a folding clasp opened with a pusher, it showcases a dark blue hue dial with white accents, as well as Super-LumiNova coated indices and hands. As before, the watch is housed in a lightweight 42mm titanium case and is polished and glass bead-blasted to remove any deposits on its surface.
The new blue edition remains powered by the Porsche Design calibre WERK 01.200 – the brand’s first ever in-house movement. It is equipped with a flyback function that enables the rapid restarting of the timing function; while the chronograph continues to run, meaning the calibre allows for the measurement of successive intervals.
The movement, which is certified by COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres), integrates second, minute and hour counters, as well as a date window that lies at 4 o’clock. The black-coloured tungsten calibre evocative of Porsche Design can be observed at work through the sapphire crystal case back and has a 48-hour power reserve.
The watch’s hard-coated sapphire crystal used on both the front and back of the model is scratch-proof and has been treated with sevenfold anti-glare treatment, plus the case is water-resistant to 10m.
The blue edition is priced at 5,950€ and is available in Porsche Design Stores, specialist shops and on Porsche Design’s website.
