Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding in Pink Gold
At this year’s Watches & Wonders Shanghai, Vacheron Constantin is presenting a new variation of the Overseas Automatic in pink gold with a blue dial. This combination was previously reserved for the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Extra-Flat, which was launched in Spring 2020. This sporty and elegant model pays homage to travel, and comes with three interchangeable straps.
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Automatic is housed in a 41 x 11 mm case in 18-carat 5N rose gold. The hexagonal Maltese cross bezel makes the timepiece immediately recognisable as an Overseas model. The gold theme is complemented by the Overseas sunray blue dial. Golden indices and luminous hands, together with the date window, complete the elegant yet functional style.
The integrated bracelet is made of the same 5N rose gold as the case and is composed of polished, satin-finished links in the shape of half a Maltese cross. Vacheron Constantin also includes a blue rubber strap as well as a hand-stitched strap in blue Mississippiensis alligator leather, which can be changed easily and without tools, using the interchangeable strap system.
Inside the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Automatic in pink gold is the company’s own Calibre 5100, certified by the Geneva seal. It is made up of 172 individual parts and 37 precious stones. In addition to the hours, minutes and seconds, the movement features a date window but no stop-seconds for precise time setting. Nevertheless, calibre 5100 has a 62-hour power reserve and anti-magnetic protection. The decorated movement and its 22-carat gold oscillating weight are visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Automatic in pink gold is water-resistant to 15 bar (150 m). The price of the new model in 18-carat pink gold is 48,200 euros.

With barely 40 years under its belt, Hublot is a fairly young watch brand. Despite this, it is by no means lacking in self-confidence in an industry where many of the biggest horology houses have a history that stretches back a good 150 years or more. Hublot’s self-assurance is at least partly due to the…
