At Watches & Wonders 2021, TUDOR is introducing two new Black Bay Chrono models with either a black or white dial and contrasting counters.

At today’s Watches & Wonders, TUDOR introduced us to a new edition of its historic Black Bay model, which is available in a 32, 36, or 41 mm case. It features a novel silver dial, which the horology house and younger sibling of Rolex combines with a steel case. While some might say the dial colour evokes a certain Rolex watch, TUDOR indisputably make it very much their own thanks to the dial’s unmistakable Black Bay design code.

As with other models, this Black Bay is still housed in either a 32, 36, or 41 mm case. Each case showcases both a satin and polished finish, while the smooth, steel bezel has a pure, polished finish. Meanwhile, the screw-down winding crown features with the TUDOR rose and is also in stainless steel. Regardless of the size, each Black Bay case provides water-resistance to 150 m.

The real talking point is of course the sunburst silver dial. Previously, the Black Bay dial options available were in either blue, black, or gold (including the S&G models). The new silver one serves as a more formal yet flexible option, which will easily match to almost any choice of clothes. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, which features the emblematic TUDOR “snowflake hand” as well as its recognisable hour markers.

Powering the new watches is the self-winding calibre T600. This offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Furthermore, this is the same movement as found in all other models – in fact, the new Black Bay editions are identical to their siblings in every aspect (excluding the dial colour).

Even the strap options and price remain the same as the other Black Bay editions available. Therefore, TUDOR fans have a choice of a beige or brown leather strap with white stitching, a stainless-steel bracelet, or a more casual-looking black fabric strap.

The price for a Black Bay starts at 2,350 euros.
