Audemars Piguet Presents Three New Royal Oak Offshore Models
Swiss Haute Horlogerie manufacturer Audemars Piguet has unveiled three new models in its Royal Oak Offshore collection. These Selfwinding and Selfwinding Chronograph novelties come in 37 and 43 mm sizes, demonstrating a range of materials such as colored rubber, stainless steel, 18-carat pink gold, and black ceramic. These timepieces introduce fresh bronze, ivory, and blue tones, perfect for complementing summer adventures.
Case Design and Materials
The three new Royal Oak Offshore models from Audemars Piguet are characterized by a bold design that plays with a mix of materials. The first model, designed for smaller wrists, features an 18-carat pink gold case with a 37 mm diameter. This timepiece includes a grey rubber-coated gold bezel, emphasizing its sporty nature. The second model, a 43 mm Selfwinding, comes with a stainless steel case and a blue rubber-coated bezel. The final model, also 43 mm, is a Selfwinding Chronograph with a stainless steel case and a matching steel bezel, complemented by black ceramic push-pieces and crown. All three models showcase Audemars Piguet’s trademark satin-brushed and polished hand-finishing, enhancing the robust architecture of the Royal Oak Offshore collection.
Dials: Intricate Details and Bold Contrasts
Each of the three models features a unique dial that complements its overall design. The 37 mm model boasts a polished ivory dial with the iconic Grande Tapisserie pattern, adorned with pink gold hour-markers and Royal Oak hands filled with luminescent material for enhanced readability. The 43 mm Selfwinding showcases a smoked blue dial with Méga Tapisserie pattern, rhodium-toned gold hour-markers, and Royal Oak hands, providing a striking contrast against the blue inner bezel. The chronograph model presents a smoked bronze dial with darkened edges and black counters, enhancing the visibility of the tachymeter and chronograph functions. Blackened white gold hour-markers and hands with luminescent material ensure readability even in low light conditions. The AP monogram in polished rhodium-toned gold at 12 o’clock adds a touch of elegance to the dial.
Movements
These Royal Oak Offshore models are powered by Audemars Piguet’s latest selfwinding movements. The 37 mm model houses the Calibre 5900, an automatic movement that operates at 4 Hz and offers a 60-hour power reserve. The 43 mm Selfwinding is equipped with Calibre 4302, notable for its 70-hour power reserve and precision. The 43 mm Selfwinding Chronograph features the Calibre 4401, an integrated chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch system. This movement supports a flyback chronograph function, allowing for multiple measurements without resetting. All movements can be admired through the sapphire caseback, revealing intricate decorations and the signature oscillating weight in blackened 22-carat pink gold
Strap Options
Each Royal Oak Offshore model comes with interchangeable straps. The 37 mm model includes a grey mosaic rubber strap and an additional black rubber strap. The 43 mm Selfwinding model features a blue rubber strap and an additional black rubber strap. The 43 mm Selfwinding Chronograph is paired with a brown alligator strap with an Oxford hand-finished patina, alongside an extra black rubber strap for a sportier look.
