In a vibrant combination of bold orange and radiant sky blue, Hublot introduces the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025, adding another facet to its iconic collection launched in 2005. Early June saw the Maison celebrate summer on Mykonos with the unveiling of this colourful limited edition, attended by notable guests, including brand ambassador Usain Bolt and DJ Matthias Vitale.

Case

The 42 mm case of the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025, with a height of 14.50 mm, is crafted from micro-blasted high-tech ceramic, featuring striking orange with dark blue accents on the sides. Known for its scratch resistance and durability, the ceramic material is also lightweight, perfectly aligning with the watch’s summery appeal.

The micro-blasting gives the surface a matte finish, reducing reflections and producing a warm, satin-like tone. The sky-blue ceramic bezel, also micro-blasted, is secured with six H-shaped titanium screws, a signature design element of the Big Bang collection. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal caseback reveals the Unico manufacture movement. With water resistance up to 10 ATM (100 metres), the watch is suitable for swimming and poolside use, while the chronograph can be easily operated via the pushers on the case’s right side.

Dial

The skeletonised dial of the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025 continues the colour scheme of orange, sky blue, and dark blue, creating an impressive sense of depth. The dark-blue-plated movement base supports two chronograph counters with orange frames.

On the sky-blue sub-dial of the 60-minute counter at 3 o’clock, the date is displayed through an aperture, with silver digits discreetly positioned behind the indices and Arabic numerals. Together with the baton-shaped hour and minute hands, enhanced by white Super-LumiNova inserts, they ensure excellent readability day and night. Additional visual cues include the yellow central chronograph hand and the orange flange with a 60-second scale.

Movement

At the heart of the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025 beats the HUB1280 Unico, an automatic flyback chronograph calibre with a double-clutch system and column wheel. Introduced in 2018, this manufacture movement has built a reputation for reliability and technical innovation.

It features 354 components, 43 jewels, a Swiss silicon anchor escapement, a 4 Hz frequency (28,800 vibrations/hour), and a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. Highlights include the flyback function for quick chronograph resetting and the generously sized, circular-grained and skeletonised tungsten rotor, plated in blue. The sapphire crystal caseback offers a clear view of the bridges and the precisely aligned chronograph gears.

Strap

The One-Click system enables tool-free strap changes in seconds – an especially convenient feature for summer. The standard strap is crafted from sky-blue rubber with a white lining, complementing the dial. Two additional straps in dark blue and orange, also with white linings, are included, allowing the watch to adapt to any mood, beach outing, or evening look. The straps are fastened with a titanium folding clasp, ensuring lightweight comfort and secure fit.

Price & Availability

Limited to 100 pieces, the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025 will be available from summer 2025 at Hublot boutiques and select retailers, priced at 32,600 euros.
