Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech PAM01453: The Anniversary of the Radiomir
To mark the anniversary of the Radiomir, Panerai presents the Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech PAM01453. This watch combines the iconic features of the Radiomir collection with a complex perpetual calendar and a GMT function. The case crafted from Goldtech, an exclusive gold alloy developed by Panerai, adds a touch of luxury.
Case
The case of the Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech PAM01453 is made of Panerai Goldtech, a gold alloy that includes copper and platinum. This gives the case its distinctive reddish hue and enhances its durability. With a diameter of 45 mm, the cushion-shaped case is one of the defining features of the Radiomir collection. The polished finish adds to the luxurious appearance. The case also features a screw-down crown, ensuring water resistance up to 10 bar (approximately 100 meters). The sapphire crystal case back offers a view of the intricate mechanics inside.
Dial
The dial of the Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech PAM01453 is a white shaded sun-brushed sandwich dial. This design not only enhances readability but also gives the watch a classic look with the inscription “Calendario Perpetuo” highlighting the watch’s Italian heritage. The luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers filled with beige Super-LumiNova ensure visibility even in low light conditions. The dial displays the hours, minutes, small seconds, and the day and date with a corresponding indicator. There is also a 24-hour sub-dial at 9 o’clock, indicating the second time zone. A day-night indicator adds an extra feature for those tracking time in different zones. The month, year, and leap year as well as the power reserve are visible through the case back.
Movement
At the heart of the Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech PAM01453 is the automatic mechanical movement P.4100. This calibre measures 15 ½ lignes (35.1 mm) in diameter and 7 mm in thickness, despite its numerous complications. The movement features an off-centre micro-rotor, winding the two barrels that store a power reserve of three days. The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and includes a seconds reset. The perpetual calendar mechanism allows for adjustments to the day, date, month, and leap year to be made via the crown, even during month-end periods and near midnight. The GMT function, a nod to Panerai’s heritage, includes a 24-hour hand and a corresponding sub-dial.
Strap
The Panerai Radiomir Perpetual Calendar GMT Goldtech PAM01453 comes with a brown alligator leather strap. The strap features T/T stitching and adds a touch of elegance to the watch. It is equipped with a trapezoidal polished clasp made of Panerai Goldtech.
